Temple Teaching Craft
This is a craft for learning about the boy Jesus, when
his parents found him in the temple teaching the
elders.  Children color the picture then glue Popsicle
sticks onto the lines to create the temple walls.

This is a craft in which children cut out the 5 loaves
of bread, and the two fish, then glue them to a
basket to make their own miracle basket!

Talk with children about sharing, and about what
God can do with what we share.......even if it's only a
little!

Hosanna Craft
Children can retell the story of Jesus' Triumphant

cut out the palm branches.  Show them how to glue

Caesar's Census Craft
This is a cut and paste craft/activity where children are
in charge of the census.  There are people who need
to go to their hometown to be counted!  Squares got to
Square Town, and Circles go to Circle Town.  Then
child counts each person in the town and writes in the
correct number!  Great for learning about what a
"Census" means.

Road to Bethlehem Craft
This craft is to learn about Joseph and Mary's journey
to Bethlehem to be counted in the census.  Children
color the pictures, then glue beans to make a road for
Joseph and Mary to travel on.  If you like cut on the
lines to make a hanging mobile  (print on heavy card
stock)

Clothespin Sheep Match
This is an activity that works on color recognition and
motor skills.  Children match clothespins to the
sheep with the correct color word, giving the sheep
legs to stand on!  You'll need to color/paint the
clothespins beforehand (using primary and
secondary colors), but once their done it would make
a great game for children to play.

You could also do this as a craft, each child could
color their own clothespins with crayons, and fasten
them to their sheep.  They can make their own heard,
and pretend to be shepherds looking after their
sheep.

Thanks to our
CPP member Nan for suggesting this
great idea!
